What is the Australian Pollinator Count?
The Australian Pollinator Count is a long-term citizen science project to monitor the status and trends of pollinator populations.
The inaugural Australian Pollinator Count took place during Australian Pollinator Week 2022. Citizen scientists across the country were encouraged to count the pollinators in their local area and submit their results online.
Collecting this data helps build an understanding of the number and diversity of pollinating insects in the environment. Learning resources, including an online learner guide and quiz, were produced to help participants prepare for the count by learning to identify native pollinator species.
